There are two very different trust models hidden inside the phrase “automated trading.”
In one model, you send money to the automation platform itself. In another, the software works through an account you already have with an external provider.
The second model is often called non-custodial automation.
Can AI trade without me transferring money to the AI platform?
Yes. Non-custodial trading automation works through an account held by an external provider instead of asking you to move the trading balance into the software company itself.
That distinction is about custody. It does not mean every non-custodial product has the same permissions, controls or decision model, so you should still check what the software is allowed to do after connection.
With Chilla, Beaverly does not hold the funds in your live trading account. The money remains with the provider hosting the supported account.
What does non-custodial mean here?
It means the automation company is not the place where your market funds are held.
Your funds stay with the external financial account provider you selected. The automation product connects to that supported account so it can carry out the work you authorize.
Chilla follows this model. Beaverly does not become the custodian of the money in your connected account.
Does connecting my account give the AI unlimited access?
No. Connecting a supported trading account and letting Chilla start live work are separate things.
The connection makes the account available to Chilla. You still control what live work is allowed to start, and Chilla shows you that work before it goes live.
Once active, Chilla can continue working inside those boundaries without asking you to approve every individual market action.
Can Chilla use an account I already have?
If the account is compatible with a supported Chilla connection path, yes. Exact compatibility depends on the provider, account type, region and the markets available through that account.
The practical first step is to check Beaverly's current compatibility page or let Chilla guide you when you are ready to go live.
What if I do not have a suitable account yet?
You can use Chilla Demo without connecting an external live account. Demo follows real market prices while the balance and activity are simulated inside Chilla; that balance cannot be withdrawn and no live order is sent to an external provider.
When you are ready for live work, Chilla can also help navigate supported provider setup journeys. Sensitive steps such as passwords, OTP/MFA, identity checks, legal declarations and account approvals remain yours.
Can Chilla withdraw money from the account?
Beaverly does not take custody of your funds, and trading-account administration has a separate user-control boundary.
Chilla may help you reach a supported deposit, withdrawal, transfer or settings area. Choosing transaction details and confirming a money-moving action remains with you.
Why does this distinction matter?
Custody changes the trust relationship.
If a platform holds your money, you are trusting it both as the software doing the work and as the entity holding the funds. With non-custodial automation, those responsibilities stay separate: the provider holds the account funds, while the software performs the authorized automation role.
Non-custodial does not mean risk-free. Market losses can still occur, providers can fail or become unavailable, and software can encounter problems. It simply answers one important question clearly: where does the money live?
What should I check before connecting an account?
- Is my provider and account type supported?
- Where do my funds remain after connection?
- Does connecting the account automatically start live work?
- What will Chilla be allowed to do before I let it go live?
- Can I pause or stop active work?
- Can I revoke or disconnect provider access?
- Who controls deposits, withdrawals and transfers?
How Chilla approaches it
Chilla is designed so the relationship starts with your goal rather than with a provider dashboard.
Chilla handles the product complexity and brings what still needs you into the conversation. When you are ready for live work, you can connect a supported trading account, review what will go live, and let Chilla work within the boundaries you approve.
Your funds stay with the provider. Chilla works towards your goals in the financial markets and reports back.
